BRIDGING THE GAPS
This program is for youth ages 14-24, unemployed and low-income adults or returning citizens. The purpose of the program is to provide participants with knowledge and skills needed to attain sustainable outcomes in life.
The program aims to assist in bridging educational, social and economic gaps for members of the community who are faced with such barriers.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
This program track is designed to assist in gaining the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions. Participants will learn basic household budgeting skills, basic banking, ways to cut costs and save, how to plan for long-term financial success.
LIFE SKILLS
This program track is designed to assist program participants in acquiring life skills that are essential to success. Participants will learn communication, organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills; critical thinking and problem solving skills; the importance of maintaining emotional and physical health; answer basic home management.
HIGH SCHOOL/ALTERNATIVE PROGRAM TRANSITIONS & COLLEGE/VOCATIONAL PROGRAM PREPARATION
This workshop series is designed to provide students with the necessary tools & resources needed to maintain academic success as they transition from high school and alternative programs to college or a vocational/apprenticeship program.
EMPLOYMENT READINESS
This workshop series is designed to enhance the skills and qualities needed to successfully land a job or career opportunity. Participants will learn what hard and soft skills are; why work ethic is important, professional communication, the importance of job shadowing, how to create resumes, how to submit online and in-person job applications, interviewing types and skills.
